This was a shoot with Miss "B." Little Miss "B" was a doll to work with. LOVED HER! She was a natural in front of the camera.
Seeing these fields with the queen Anne's lace makes me summer already. Amazing how fast Summer and Fall have flown by.
I played around with some textures on a few of these. I'm not normally a texture kinda' girl but once in a while is fun...
This last shot was just a candid image of her jumping like a frog thru the grass. LOVED it too! So fun! Kids just make your heart melt, don't they?
For now, I am off to have brunch with my sewing gal and dear friend, Karen, today. Then, I have a doctor appt. scheduled at 1pm. I'm asking for prayers on that one. Can you guys send some positive thoughts my way for it? I'd greatly appreciate it. :) After all of that, I've offered to have 5 ten year old boys spend the night with Brennen tonight. It's a sleepover that is sure to keep me awake half the night. Ha ha! I adore all of his little friends though. They are GREAT kids with phenomenal families. He knows how to pick them and for that...I'm thankful. This weekend and the next seven days in general are sure to be NUTS. Come this time next Friday, we'll be...
This is "C" man. I had a shoot with him a couple of months back and am way behind in getting his and other sessions up and posted here on my blog. Either way, "C" man was lots of fun. I've included a few images from our session together. The camera loved him. His Mom is a fellow photographer so he knew EXACTLY what to do in front of the camera. I had a ball with their family.
I honestly didn't have to tell him to do anything. His Mom was there helping him along but for the most part, he was a seasoned pro in front of the lens. It helps when there is a bit of bribery involved for some new lego sets as well. Ha ha!
Like his brother and sister, he has gorgeous eyes. Mom look out...the girls will be ringing your phone off the hook very soon. Wink wink! :-)
I loved his attire as well. Photography sessions depend so much on the clothing choices for the shoot. His Mom, being a photographer, knew exactly how to pull off "the look." As you all know, I love the beach and C-mans clothing ensemble reminded me of the perfect walk on a beach at sunset. He made me want to grab my suntan oil, my flip flops, and a beach towel like ASAP!
Speaking of the beach, I'll be back in the Naples, Florida area come November 22nd. Should you have a need for a beach session or an urban session around the Naples, Bonita Springs, Ft. Myers, Sanibel Island, or Cape Coral areas...look me up. I'd love to work with your family in photographing some images for your perfect holiday card this season.
I had a great shoot with a very handsome ten year old boy yesterday. He opted for a grungy urban approach so we rocked it out with his guitar and rolled thru the small town creating a stir with his skateboard. The locals knew we weren't from around those parts but they enjoyed observing the shoot go down either way. In fact, the event created quite an audience on the street. We had fun with it and my subject enjoyed every second of it.
This small town has a great old and worn feel. Thus, why I love it. It was perfect for our backdrop...
Even though we did have to share our alley ways with another photographer who showed up during our session and ultimately got all up "in my grill" as they would say. Yes, she even proceeded to come shoot back to back with me - literally 2 feet from where I was shooting in the same spot. Come on now peeps...the world is an open and free space but can you at least wait your turn??? Patience is key my friend. Patience. Funny thing was, she would shoot up against each wall I had used and everywhere I had just shot. Brent text'ed me a text message across my phone at one point (he was several feet away and watching from afar). His text message made me laugh. All it said was "COPY CAT." (meaning H-E-R) I had to refrain from busting out laughing right in front of her because she was back to back with me at that second. Funny stuff! I almost had to yell..."Step off" at one point. However, what will be - will be. It's all good!
I told my subject that he should have his "Mom" make the shot shown below into a big poster or canvas wall wrap in his bedroom. It looks like something straight off the front of a CD case...
The shot below was his serious look. Dontcha' love it??? That blue, roughed up, wall makes me swoon...
And this is how he rolls...
I told Brent that he looks so grown up, like a teenager in these two pictures (above and below). Where has our baby gone?
I never knew a blue dumpster could look so good. Wink wink! ;0)
And just for fun...
Thanks for rocking and rolling with me yesterday "B-Ster." It was a very cool session and one that I'll remember always. :)
