HIGHLIGHTING - BY AGD

Catch your breath. Don't pass out! Yes, we are talking about jewelry designs from AGD. :) I've had too many of you to count - email and ask me when I'd be releasing some new designs again (clothing and jewelry). I know it's been forever. Truth is...I've battled this question myself. I'm sure many of you have noticed that I stripped my website down to just the items made by me - the items that got me to where I am - the items that started it all. The boutique clothing designs and my jewelry designs. There are a few items still on the site that were made by friends and vendors but they are only a couple of jewelry pieces. I've battled with where AGD is going at this point and I still don't know for sure. What I do know is this. I love photography and I enjoy beading jewelry. Those are my passions. Photography heads that pack. I enjoy the design process of my boutique outfits but I detest sewing. My sewing employee and friend, Karen, lives 977 miles away now. She isn't down the street from me to where we could do midnight runs to one anothers mailboxes with new orders like we used to. I miss that. However, I don't miss the sewing. Kenidi is also getting older (almost 7 now) and growing out of the frilly, ruffly, designs that she used to model so well. I don't want to use another child over my own for my designs. I just won't. I'm weird that way. The sewing also took a back burner to personal issues in my life over the past year. Medical/health issues to do with my heart, the personal junk, our move from Indiana to Florida back in the fall, and just the overall fact that my photography business has moved up to my #1 priority when it comes to my hobbies/passions within my business goals. So for now...I guess you could say that the boutique clothing designs will be a thing of the past. I've been there, done that, got a thousand t-shirts. I'm proud of the accomplishments I reached via the AGD clothing designs and am humbled and blessed by my loyal clients which have also become some of my dearest friends over the past 6 years. Should I decide to re-ignite the line one day, you guys will be the first to know. I promise.

With that said, you are probably wondering where that leaves my jewelry line. For now, I plan to keep my website up and feature my jewelry designs as I get new ones listed as well as continue to sell my older creations too. Like with my boutique clothing line, I have tons of loyal clients that have stayed by my side and enjoyed the jewelry pieces I've created thru the years. You guys are in luck. I plan to begin designing all new never seen before designs in the coming months. The beach is a great place to drag a chair to with some bead supplies. I'd love nothing more then to sit by the seaside and let its beauty inspire my new creations. I can't promise how often I'll list new items here on the blog and website but whenever I do finish a new piece, I'll introduce it here as I've always done in the past. In the meantime, I will continue to forge forward in regard to my photography career. Like with my AGD designs, I know my photography journey has a purpose within my life and I'm eager to see where it leads me.

Before I get started on introducing new jewelry designs though, I wanted to highlight some of the most popular pieces in my collection. One of them being the winged cross and winged guitar pearl strand necklaces. Here are some older images of them...

I've had an over abundance of these being ordered again all of a sudden and thought I'd showcase them here for those who might not have seen them before. They are big, bold, chunky pieces that are designed for my statement making clients. They definitely aren't for the shy. When I wear these, I can't get 10 feet without being stopped and asked where I got it. It's truly one of my favorite AGD designs EVAH! As you all know, I get into funky and out of the box looks and these take the cake. I have 3 winged crosses left and 2 winged guitars left. To order one before they are all gone, click HERE.

Thanks again for all of your support over the past 6 years. Each of my clients/customers from around the world mean so very much to me. Thank you for helping to breathe life back into me at a time when my world seemed to be crumbling all of those years ago. AGD was started and created out of a need to focus on something positive - something other than all of the negative to do with Kenidi after she was born and we discovered she had health problems. Your support carried me thru many difficult moments all those years ago and I'll never be able to thank you enough for that. You guys were the light in those dark moments. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Much love, Angie

NEW FROM AGD

They are up and ready to go...
A new bracelet and coordinating earring set titled "Carmel Plum." I love it. It's a mix of custom made glass lampwork beads and sterling silver throughout. The big, chunky, and very bold toggle clasp make it another fav of mine. The earrings are coordinated and made to match.

I currently only have one of these in stock. However, if it sells out and you miss the boat, feel free to contact me. I might be able to get more supplies to replicate it.

It is a stunning design and can be worn in any season. The color combo is so rich and elegant. It's truly a stand out piece when on the wrist. You can't help but notice it.

The next new design is this "Believe in Love" turquoise cross necklace below. The back side of the cross has an inscription that reads just that..."Believe in Love." The necklace as a whole is truly an eye catcher to say the least.

This would be the perfect necklace for any wardrobe but I especially envision it being worn in the fast approaching Spring and Summer months with a crisp white button down shirt, some hot lookin' jeans, a pair of kickin' heels, and a tan. Yeah, a tan. Ha ha! Snow, snow go away - come back again another day. Like next winter maybe. :)

The toggle clasp on this design is a statement maker as well. Shaped as a turtle, the chunky and bold design adds that much more character to the necklace and gives it a very southwestern flair. Love that.

Like with the above design, I only have one of these in stock and made in inventory as well. However, there is a possibility that I can order more supplies to replicate the necklace. If you love this but it sells out before you get to it, contact me and I'll see what I can do to make you another one.

In the meantime, if you are eager to purchase either one of these spectacular looks, feel free to purchase either from my website or from my ETSY store. Enjoy your day. I'm off to lunch with Karen this afternoon and will attempt to stay warm while we are out and about. We got another 4+ inches dumped on our already existing foot (12") of snow yesterday. Yes, you are reading that correctly...a mere total of approximately 16 inches of snow in the past week. Can someone repeat after me??? All together now...say it with me...

O-V-E-R-R-R-R I-T!!!

xoxo, Ang

SNEAK PEEK FRIDAY

Here is AGD's 2nd sneak peek set of the week. Yes, I know it's torture. I receive all kinds of emails telling me how much you guys 'detest' when I post only sneak peek pictures rather than full body modeled images of my new designs. I know you'd prefer I just cut thru the labor and get to the birth (as Brent always says), but this is a process for me. I'm very picky about the images I take when showcasing a new design. Therefore, I always aim to find a day outside when I can get Kenidi out and about while having her model the set for me to the best of her ability. However, although that is my mission, these two particular sets are giving me fits because I have no weather to do such shooting in. It is another -5 degree day here in Indiana today but we are hunkered down inside enjoying a school day that has been cancelled. YAY! Kenidi is here but napping at the moment. I'm hoping to get her awake and moving later on in an effort to take some shots of these sets today, in our dining room mind you. Ha ha! I have no other option and I must get these listed in time to sell and make before V-Day, although they can be worn long after that too. So...stay tuned...the REAL images are coming. I promise!

On another note, I had a client/customer and dear blog friend of mine order this Canyon View Cross necklace from me this week. The original design was outfitted with a different cross. However, due to the mad Christmas rush and you all wiping me out of supplies (which is a good thing), I had to find a new cross design for this necklace. Might I just say that I love, love, love the new look. I changed up the cross, toggle, and pearl coloring just a bit to give off a funky, edgey, trendy, and oh so grungy kind of look. This piece goes with anything in your wardrobe and I do mean ANYTHING! Needless to say, I will be making a new version of this piece for myself all over again. And the even cooler thing about this new cross, that back of it has "HAVE FAITH" inscribed into the silver. ROCK ON! Gotta' love that!

If you are interested in purchasing one of these necklaces before they are all gone and I can't do anymore, go to AGD's boutique website and purchase one right now. You can find the direct link HERE. Until then, enjoy your Friday. Talk again soon...

P.S. Thank you to all of you who emailed me privately, hit me up on facebook, or who left comments here on the blog giving us well wishes for Kenidi's neurology appt. yesterday. For those of you lucky dogs who friend requested me on facebook, you get all of the inside scoop on what is going on in our lives before my blog readers even do now. Aren't you feeling special? Ha ha! And yes...when you FB'ers all got wind that we were at Riley yesterday for a routine appt., you came out of the woodwork to wish us well over there on "Crackbook." Oops...I mean "facebook." Ha ha! In the end, it was a decent appointment with minimal new news. Her neurologist upped her medication in an effort to try and knock out the 2-3 break thru seizures we still notice her having on a daily basis. (the eye rolling seizures that last all of 5 seconds) I hit the doc up with some major questions yesterday regarding epilepsy, John Travolta's sons incident, the whys, the "could that happen?" questions, and so on. As I told my step-Mom, I left the appointment with crude answers but answers that were real and truthful. It deflated a bit of the wind in my sails but I know without a shadow of a doubt that God has Kenidi wrapped tightly in his arms every second of every day that she is here on this earth. Do I worry that we'll never get the seizures totally under control and that she'll never get a drivers license because of it? Yes. Do I worry that she'll be an adult and have to be carefully monitored because of the type seizures she has and the proven statistic that they follow you into adult hood, Yes! Do I just plain & simply worry? Yes! I worry. However, when I catch myself doing it...I immediately pray and tell God that I'm turning the worry all over to him and that she is his problem. I tell him that I am confident his promises for her here on this earth will ring true and that he will do incredible things with her life as a child as well as when she is a grey haired old woman. God is good! And he never wastes pain! Although I feel that I'm in one of those years where I have asked, I know her years to come will be years that he answers.
Thank you to all of you who care for Kenidi as if you genuinely know her. I can't wait to show her the things you guys have done for her and said to or about her as she gets older and can understand your compassion and support. I've got the best blog readers EVAH and now I have the best "CRACKBOOK" friends EVAH too! HA HA! Much love lovahs'...
Angie
