OK...here is the one of three new AGD Spring designs for the Spring/Summer collection. Now...please bare with these images. Kenidi turned out to be in a mood that didn't include modeling for this particular day. Therefore, all three new sets are modeled in front of the front door, door mat and all, because she would've jumped in the ocean with these clothes and all should I have attempted to take these shots at the beach like originally planned. So...love them or hate them - entry wall too. HA!
This set is called "Roses in Bloom." I love the colors in it. Aqua/ Turquoise which is my favorite color of all time and then the pink to go along side it. I must say that this set was a huge hit while in Florida. It was gorgeous for the environment we were in. So springy, so girlie, so fun!
The big bell flared pant is a classic. Love those. Wish I had a pair for myself actually. Then, the top is finished off with vintage rhinestone buttons. YUMMY! Nothing like a little old to go with the new. A little bling to go with the shabby.
And of course each design always comes adorned with genuine AGD labels to prove the authenticity.
Kenidi loves doing her "funky chicken" dance. The girl has got skillz - let me tell ya'! Ha ha!
Alright Mommy...enough photos. I'm over it now. Just tell them where they can find it at...
Order your ROSES IN BLOOM set HERE. We'll be introducing another new set tomorrow and the third one on Wednesday. Stay tuned. Also, we have another round of the guitar and cross winged necklaces that will be in stock again by weeks end. Remember those? They will be available HERE once back in stock later this week. Stay tuned...lots of newness in the coming days. Enjoy...Angie
Happy Thursday ya'll. Just wanted to say that "YES," the Spring/Summer 09' designs are well on their way. Here are some of the new collection. I know how much you guys all love these sneak peeks. HA! I've had some emails recently inquiring about when I'd be releasing the new designs. They were supposed to be already out there for you by now. However, with my health scare and the craziness of the past two weeks...I'm way behind. I had initially planned on taking shots of these here in Indy and listing them ASAP. However, I've decided to hold off and snap the shots of Kenidi in them while at the beach in two weeks. I think the ocean will make a much better back drop for them rather than our dead brown winter grass here in Indiana.
So...please continue to be patient with me. I will get the product shots for them done while in Florida that first week in April. I'll list them right after that. Just in time for Spring and Summer. YAY! All three of these new designs will be featured...I promise!
And yes...even the one shown below too. I know you've already seen its sneak peek but I thought I'd share it again in case you've forgotten about it. It's gonna' go great with a summer tan. :)
For now, I'm off to ship some orders for some dear clients. (mirrors, lip balm, and all) Ha ha! And no...unfortunately...to answer your questions about the AGD lip balm...I can't sell it individually. I've decided to just keep it a special perk for those who purchase from AGD. So sorry! Thanks for all of your interest in it though. You ladies love your lip balm as much as I do. Hee hee! Hugs, Angie
PS...Thought you guys might find it interesting to know that the above/top two sets were inspired off of two outfits I found that I wanted for Kenidi in a photo for a store online. Changed them up a bit and made the design to fit her - to fit us. Our fabrics - our look. It's hard to shop from department stores anymore when I know that it can be "made" at home (a.k.a. with Karen's mad skillz too) :)
Here is a sneak peek for ya'll today. Sorry I'm late on posting this. I had a hair appt. this morning so that Jason could ROCK the "do" like he always does. I rolled myself out of bed and noticed the sunshine right off the bat this morning and immediately thanked God for what was sure to be an incredible day. Little did I know that the good Lord above would send me into the hair salon wearing two different black boots this morning as a sick joke. Like my Mom always says, "God sure does have a sense of humor." Yes, Jason was cutting my hair and all of a sudden I looked down and couldn't help but notice in the full length mirror that I was wearing two totally different shoes. I belted out a nice and poignant - "OH. MY. GAWSHHHHH!" Jason looked up and I was all..."I'm wearing two totally different frappin' shoes." We both got a good laugh out of it as did some other hair dressers and customers in the salon. Thankfully, no one seemed to have noticed until I pointed it out. We were cracking up. I could feel my face shooting to blood red and 115 degrees as I sat there the rest of my appt. Needless to say, I'd already been in there like that for an hour by this point. Lucky for me, it was pretty dead in there this morning beings that it was so early. Therefore, my brain lapse today was the entertainment of just a few rather than a full salon of people. Praise God!
I left there 2.5 hours later. As I walked out the salons front door and felt the sunshine hit my face and heard the birds chirping, I thanked God for allowing me to have a sense of humor and for giving me the ability to laugh at myself rather than be mortified. I haven't been able to stop laughing about it all day long. Needless to say, I'm finding the fun in it all & thanking God for a great haircut, an extremely talented hair dresser, and for my two very mis-matched pair of boots. I'm thanking God today for the smiles, the belly laughs with others as tears rolled down my face from cackling so hard, and for his sense of humor in it all.
I pray you have enjoyed your day as much as I have. For now, I'm off to go edit some images.
PS...Yes, the boots were the same height even though one boot was a pointed toe black stiletto heel and the other was a black rounded toe wedge heel. They looked nothing alike but miraculously didn't feel different from one another when on my feet. The joys of grabbing shoes from your closet in the dark. :) Life is good!
One of my favorite things in this world is lip balm. Whenever I'm running around in the house without make-up, I have lip balm on. I'm convinced that it is an addiction. I can remember being obsessed with "carmex" back in my school days. It is nothing for us to stock 12 different little circular yellow tins of that mighty powerful balm in our house today. Kenidi loves it too. I think she thinks it is lip gloss. She'll bring me the tins of carmex, hold it up and show me, rub her finger on her little lips and verbalize/say the word "wips" as her way of letting me know she wants me to put some on her. It's too cute.
I have two favorite lip balms in this world and they are the carmex and the Laura Mercier lip balm. I can't get enough of either of them. However, now I have a new favorite. My girlfriend Krissie, (thanx lovah!) got me this zebra decorated ball of lip balm from Boston last year in a gift shop there. It was one of my birthday gifts from her. I've opened it up and showed it to you below...
This is actually not the original one. I zipped thru the one she got me in world record time. I was beside myself though because I couldn't find the ball lip balms anywhere around here. Well, low and behold...I walked into a gift shop here the other day and found them. Tons of them. Lots of fun designs - even pink leopard (shown in the first image above) and some with peace signs on them. ROCKIN'!!! So...I knew I had to share my latest favorite find with you all. The ball design gives you more than twice the amount of a normal stick lip balm. (per ballmania's website) I also like the fact that these designs come in sports balls as well. (i.e., basketballs, baseballs, tennis balls, golf balls, etc.) so that my son/Brennen can use them without feeling like he is carrying around a stick of girlie lip balm. Ya know? Paired with my little AGD fan fare mirrors, you just can't go wrong. Hee hee! :)
Feel free to visit their website to order online or find a store near you that carries them. I promise you that you won't be disappointed.
Lastly, I just wanted to feature a couple of tee's on here real fast just because I think some of you might enjoy seeing them. Grandma's...I'm talking to you about these...
For those of you with Grandkids, the "MY GRANDKIDS ROCK" rhinestone and applique tee are for you. I had a customer order one as well as a blue team tee for her two grandchildren who play basketball and have the same team colors this season. (They are brother and sister too. How cute!) So...for those of you feeling as though AGD styles are too young for you...think again. We can ROCK out the Grandma closets too! HA HA! And trust me...you don't get two feet ahead without someone stopping you asking you about your tee and where you got it from. Just ask Wanda. (my customer who ordered these) She has a couple of my other team tee's we did for her as well and she got bombarded at the games when wearing them. Thanks for passing out my business card Wanda. :)
Should you have a team tee need or wish to do one of the MY ______ROCK(S) tee's, feel free to email me in regards to placing an order. You can also order directly via the AGD website or our ETSY store.
For now, I'm headed back to my old stomping ground today (Center Grove) and then out to run some much needed errands as well. I do have a sneak peek Spring/Summer 09' AGD design to share with you all this evening. Remember though, I said "sneak peek." Ha ha! Check back for it later tonight. It's just one of many new ones in the works for the up and coming season. Bring on Spring! Hugs, Ang
It's a new bracelet design for all of you bling lovers out there. This one is a remake after the original MAMBA bracelet I designed which was way more bright in color and very bold. This is the chocolate mamba design due to its more subdued color combo that is geared for my more traditional clientel. I love the turquoise and brown color scheme as well as the sterling bead caps at each bead end that add that mediteranean flare.
The custom glass lampwork beads in this design almost look like watercolors on an artist canvas. In my own favorite words...I think they ROCK! :)
If you are interested in purchasing this new design, (I do have more than one), then visit my ETSY store or my online boutique to see more details.
In the meantime, stay tuned for more brand new designs to come with these beauties.
This one picture (shown above) is the epitome' of why I love warm weather. These colors are statement making, bold, funky, and scream Spring and Summer. We are preparing for our Spring Break trip back to the beach in early April and when I saw these beads, I knew I had to get them and make some new designs with them. They'll be perfect with beach/spring/summer attire in general. Trust me when I say that palm trees and sand were my total inspiration behind what is to come with the design of these stunning new stones. Nothing makes a hard earned tan pop like bright yellows, reds, oranges, and turquoise. LOVE EM'!
Just wanted to share with ya'll that AGD has new fabrics arriving weekly for our Spring and Summer 2009 lines. I can't wait to dive into this yumminess. When you sew, getting new fabrics is probably a lot like what an addict feels like when they get their hands on their next fix. Holding new fabrics in my hands makes me swoon with delight. The designs start racing across my brain - going every which way - in regards to how I want to cut them up and make something from nothing out of them. I'm not so big on the sewing process or the construction of it all so to speak, but it takes my breath away to design stuff. Whether it be fabrics into a new collection or beads into a new bracelet, necklace, earrings, etc. or the next pose for a photograph, I love it all. The best part of design is seeing the object at hand go from this dismal item to a living, purposeful, completed project. I just adore the "coming to life" process within it all.
So...stay tuned. You will begin to see many of those new designs "come to life" in the weeks ahead. The new fabrics I've got my hands on which are arriving weekly, just plain and simply ROCK! We've got shabby chic, we've got edgy, we've got bright and downright funky...we've got it all baby. I've also got a couple of new items regarding jewelry coming in soon and another new bracelet design to list for you today. I might be back later tonight with it - just depending on how my day goes today.
It is supposed to be a high of 58 degrees here in Indy today. Therefore, I'm breaking out the capri's and flip flops - JOKING - and going to go shoot things. (with my camera - not literally speaking) No, actually I'm donning my favorite jeans and my big, baggy, sweatshirt today as I head out the door to try and capture some images. In the meantime, I hope all of you have a great day. I'll be back later on...
A new bracelet and coordinating earring set titled "Carmel Plum." I love it. It's a mix of custom made glass lampwork beads and sterling silver throughout. The big, chunky, and very bold toggle clasp make it another fav of mine. The earrings are coordinated and made to match.
I currently only have one of these in stock. However, if it sells out and you miss the boat, feel free to contact me. I might be able to get more supplies to replicate it.
It is a stunning design and can be worn in any season. The color combo is so rich and elegant. It's truly a stand out piece when on the wrist. You can't help but notice it.
The next new design is this "Believe in Love" turquoise cross necklace below. The back side of the cross has an inscription that reads just that..."Believe in Love." The necklace as a whole is truly an eye catcher to say the least.
This would be the perfect necklace for any wardrobe but I especially envision it being worn in the fast approaching Spring and Summer months with a crisp white button down shirt, some hot lookin' jeans, a pair of kickin' heels, and a tan. Yeah, a tan. Ha ha! Snow, snow go away - come back again another day. Like next winter maybe. :)
The toggle clasp on this design is a statement maker as well. Shaped as a turtle, the chunky and bold design adds that much more character to the necklace and gives it a very southwestern flair. Love that.
Like with the above design, I only have one of these in stock and made in inventory as well. However, there is a possibility that I can order more supplies to replicate the necklace. If you love this but it sells out before you get to it, contact me and I'll see what I can do to make you another one.
In the meantime, if you are eager to purchase either one of these spectacular looks, feel free to purchase either from my website or from my ETSY store. Enjoy your day. I'm off to lunch with Karen this afternoon and will attempt to stay warm while we are out and about. We got another 4+ inches dumped on our already existing foot (12") of snow yesterday. Yes, you are reading that correctly...a mere total of approximately 16 inches of snow in the past week. Can someone repeat after me??? All together now...say it with me...
That's right...we are on the hunt for 3 models here in the ol' AGD studios. Change is coming at AGD and we are gearing up for it. We've always had a huge demand for larger sizes in the AGD line and therefore...we are hoping to embrace that request with a whole new line of AGD designs in tween, teen, young adult, and even MOM sizes. In the meantime, my crew and I are prepping for those HUGE changes and need help on the modeling end of things. Here is what we are after...
Do you know of a child who is a "tween" so to speak in the 11-14 year old age range who has the perfect face for modeling?
What about a teenage girl who is between the ages of 16-20 years old with those same model type qualities - stunning and fresh but with an edge - a funky and oh so trendy look - with a knock out shape to model AGD designs?
And lastly, I need a HOT MOM! Yes, you heard me. A hot mom looking to model AGD designs for me. A mom that exudes style and is not afraid to be funky & eclectic with her fashion. Preferrably in the size 0-6 clothing range and in the age range of 30-40 years old.
If you are one of these people and live in the Indiana area - (preferably located on or near the north side of Indianapolis) - or you know someone that would fit in one of the above categories, please contact me ASAP. This will not be a lucritive job but one that will have its perks - including the choice between either a small monetary payment for the 30-40 minute session each time or to walk away from the shoot with a free outfit/tee/skirt/pair of pants, etc. that you modeled during the session itself. The other perk included with each shoot will also be a free enlarged photograph of one pose taken during each of your sessions compliments of Angie Seaman Photography studio. These models will not only help sell AGD designs via the AGD website and blog, but their images will also be used to possibly promote Angie Seaman Photography by way of our promotional and marketing materials. Shoots will take place indoors as well as outdoors around the city and surrounding counties.
This model search will take place all throughout the month of February. I hope to announce our choices for the models by months end. Again, if you or someone you know fits this bill...email us a photograph with details on how to contact you ASAP. All images will be collected and reviewed with the final model(s) chosen once the search/contest ends on February 28th.
I can't wait to see the entries we receive and I'm extremely excited about what the future holds for AGD as well as Angie Seaman Photography.
